Head of eCommerce
Head of eCommerce APPLY NOW
Location: UK (Remote)
Reporting to: Founder & CEO
Team: Ecommerce Manager, Amazon Manager
Join the fastest‑growing brand in fertility & pregnancy.
Driven by our commitment to science, quality, and purity, Proceive is the fastest‑growing brand in fertility and pregnancy nutrition. We offer advanced nutritional supplements for conception and pregnancy. Established 10 years ago, we want to be the leaders in this space.
Why This Role Exists
We’re a founder‑led business, building a brand with real substance. We started in retail. Ecommerce is becoming a meaningful part of our business, we know it can be much bigger - more disciplined, more scalable, and more commercially intentional.
We’re looking for a Head of Ecommerce to take full ownership of this function: to set the direction, sharpen the focus, and turn ecommerce into a predictable, high‑performing growth engine.
We already have strong in‑house capability across DTC and Amazon. What we need now is someone senior enough to lead, prioritise and challenge, and practical enough to understand what actually moves the number.
What You’ll Own
This is a leadership role with real responsibility. You will own the ecommerce outcome, not just the plan.
1. Ecommerce Strategy & Commercial Ownership
- Set the overall ecommerce strategy across DTC, Amazon, TikTok and emerging marketplaces
- Own ecommerce revenue, contribution and margin performance
- Decide where to invest — and where not to
- Build clear forecasts and hold the business to them
- Make trade‑offs between growth, margin and long‑term customer value
2. DTC Direction (Website & Subscription)
- Lead and direct the Ecommerce Manager, setting clear priorities and standards
- Ensure the DTC experience drives:
- Strong conversion
- Repeat purchase
- Subscription growth
- Oversee trading cadence, promotions, launches and onsite experience
- Push for constant improvement in CRO and customer journey, not “one‑off projects”
3. Amazon & Marketplaces Leadership
- Lead our Amazon and marketplace strategy end‑to‑end
- Work with our Amazon Manager across:
- Range and portfolio decisions
- Pricing and promotions
- Content and conversion quality
- Advertising efficiency and ROI
- Decide how and when to expand into new marketplaces or territories
4. Social & Emerging Commerce
- Set a clear point of view on TikTok Shop and social commerce
- Define what success looks like and how we measure it
- Ensure these channels are run commercially, not experimentally for the sake of it
5. Leading the Team
- Lead, coach and develop an existing ecommerce team
- Set clear KPIs, ways of working and accountability
- Create an environment where people know what “great” looks like
- Plan the next phase of capability and team growth as ecommerce scales
6. Working Like a Founder
- Be the ecommerce voice at the leadership table
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations and Finance — no silos
- Bring clarity where things are fuzzy, and momentum where things stall
- Take responsibility when results fall short, not hide behind activity
What This Role Is Not
- Not a channel execution role
- Not an Amazon account manager
- Not a performance marketing role with a different title
This is about direction, judgement and ownership.
Who This Role Is For
You’ll likely have:
- Significant experience leading ecommerce in a DTC or digital‑first consumer brand
- Deep understanding of DTC economics and Amazon as a marketplace
- Proven experience leading teams and holding them to high standards
- Strong commercial instinct — you know when to push and when to protect margin
Experience in health, supplements, beauty or regulated consumer categories is a big plus, but mindset matters more than logos.
How We Work
We’re founder‑led and hands‑on:
- Decisions are made quickly
- Responsibility is clear
- Good ideas win, regardless of where they come from
- We care about results more than theatre
You’ll have real access, real trust, and real accountability.
What Success Looks Like
- Ecommerce feels controlled, focused and scalable
- DTC, Amazon, social and retail ecomm are aligned, not competing internally
- Conversion, retention and customer value are clearly improving
- The team is confident, aligned and performing
